For the first time in our nation's history, America has elected the first African-American president. I never thought it would happen. Not because I didn't think it should, I just thought most Americans would be too narrow minded to do it. It says a lot about us and how far we have come in the last 50 years.
I did not vote for Obama. He does not fit into my picture of what a president should be. Mind you, neither does John McCain but he was the lesser of 2 evils for me.
I do think that Obama has the chance to step up and be a great leader. I truly hope he does and proves me, and a lot of other people, wrong. I would love to eat my words on this one.
At any rate, I love this country and all of the blessings and opportunities it affords me and my family. I am proud and very grateful to be an American.

Amen sister!
I hope he can prove a lot of people wrong! He has the whole Nation looking to him to fix things! Big shoes to fill if you ask me! Hopefully he can do it! I loved the Halloween photos! You all looked SO cute! When are we getting together for lunch? :) Love ya!
